Ford Philippines proudly marks a milestone as the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 celebrates its first anniversary in the country with a growing community of 1,000 proud owners.
Launched at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in October 2024, the Raptor V6 quickly captured the hearts of Filipino enthusiasts. Demand was so strong that Ford made it a permanent part of its lineup by January 2025.
“The response to the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 in its first year has been incredible,” said Pedro Simoes, Managing Director and President, Ford Philippines. “Customers have embraced it as both a serious performance pickup and a trusted everyday companion, and their stories show how strongly the truck fits Filipino lifestyles.”
Engineered for Confidence
Built by Ford Performance, the Ranger Raptor V6 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, delivering 397 PS and 583 Nm of torque. Supported by FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass Shock Absorbers and up to seven selectable drive modes — including Baja mode for high-speed off-road driving — the Raptor V6 is engineered to inspire confidence on city streets, highways, and rugged terrain alike.
Stories from Proud Owners
Angel Santiago, a system integrator, was among the early owners. His work involves regular client visits requiring long drives, and despite already owning a 2.0L diesel Raptor, he couldn’t resist adding the V6 to his garage. “I have two identical-looking Raptors – both black, and both have Monday coding plates,” he laughs.
But for him, the V6 is the go-to. “No matter the distance, the Raptor V6 turned my client visits into something I look forward to,” he says, noting how the truck transformed routine travel into enjoyable journeys.
Ivan Capati recalls his most memorable drive — a solo trip to La Union and Baguio over three days, taken in heavy rain with sections of the route flooded. “Despite the adverse weather condition, I never felt unsafe at any point. Mind you, I usually bring someone with me in case something happened and I would need help.
This time, however, the Raptor V6 felt planted, powerful, and comfortable the whole way, so I never felt stressed,” he proudly shared.
For Roger Aventurado, a Raptor car club member, the V6 represents the latest step in a long relationship with Ford. He has owned multiple Ranger variants since 2018, before finally getting a Raptor V6 earlier this year. He now drives it nearly every day and considers it his best Raptor yet. “I have owned several Ford pickups since 2018, but the Raptor V6 is on a different level. It is the first pickup that truly feels like a reward for all those years of work,” he says.
Ken Chee, another member of a local Raptor club, sees the V6 as the natural progression of his Ford journey. Having owned various iterations of the Ranger Raptor, he upgraded to the 3.0L version in August. “I already know the 2.0L Raptor is a good ride, but I was pleasantly surprised with the 3.0L version. You can actually feel a next-level difference, especially when traveling on rough roads,” he explains.

And then there’s Zainal Limpao, a longtime Ford loyalist who alternates between his Raptor V6 and his Ford Everest. He was among the first batch of buyers during the launch last year, and he says it was money well spent. A round-trip drive from Cavite to Pangasinan validated his choice. “I had my family with me during the trip, and it was raining most of the time. The all-wheel drive and the V6 power helped a lot, so what should’ve been a long and grueling trip was actually a smooth and enjoyable ride,” he shared.
A Year of Power, Presence, and Pride
After just one year on Philippine roads, the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 has proven itself not only as a capable performance pickup, but also as a trusted everyday companion that turns routine drives into memorable experiences.
With 1,000 proud owners and counting, the Raptor V6 community continues to grow — a testament to Ford’s commitment to delivering vehicles that match the passion, resilience, and adventurous spirit of Filipino drivers.
