Recently, I’ve been coming across an item that caught my attention and fancy at car meets and events. No, it’s not a item that you put in your vehicle, but it’s something that is car related if you really give it some thought…Custom Wheel Keychains.
I believe keychains are a sort of extension to your build. It may be the logo of vehicle’s brand or your favorite aftermarket brand. Some are quirky or cute representations of a brand or part. All in all, keychains are a key element towards completing your build.
I’ve come across keychains made to look like wheels or tires before, but these keychains produced by Aven64 Co. is the first I came across that featured popular wheel designs like Volk Racing, Advan, Rays Engineering, Sparco and other wheels that you would consider putting on your vehicle. I even heard they are working on releasing Rota’s Reeve design soon.
Made by using 3D printing UV resin, Aven64 produces the two main components of the keychain, the wheel and the tire. Coming from a background of producing scale models, Aven64’s accuracy and attention to detail is already inherent to them.
Each wheel and tire design is entered into their CAD software, using reference photos to help with the details. After the 3D printing process is done, finishing and painting of the wheels are done, closely matching the real 1:1 counterparts.
After painting, the tire and wheel components of the keychain are put together. Finally, the keyring is the last component to be added to this novel idea of a keychain.
Aven64 makes the Custom Wheel Keychains from mock-up to final product inhouse in their facilities. This way they also control the quality of their product throughout the process.
