Max Verstappen is expanding his racing horizons. The four-time Formula 1 world champion will lead Verstappen Racing into the legendary 24 Hours of Nürburgring this May, partnering with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and Red Bull in a bold new endurance program.
The announcement wasn’t just about racing—it was spectacle. In Meppen, German athlete Max Manow performed a breathtaking 131-meter B.A.S.E. jump into a cooling tower, unveiling the team’s striking new Red Bull livery.

It was a reveal as daring as the challenge Verstappen is about to face.
A dream long in the making
For Verstappen, the Nürburgring is more than a race—it’s a bucket-list milestone.
“The Nürburgring is a special place. There’s no other track like it,” Verstappen said. “The 24h Nürburgring has been on my bucket list for a long time, so I’m thrilled we can make it happen now. Last year’s preparation at NLS9, which we won, gave us valuable experience. Now it’s about putting in the right work before the race so we can maximize everything.”
The line-up
The car will run with starting number 3 and feature a formidable roster:
- Max Verstappen (Netherlands)
- Dani Juncadella (Spain)
- Jules Gounon (Andorra)
- Lucas Auer (Austria)

The team will compete in NLS1, NLS2, and the Nürburgring Qualifiers ahead of the 24-hour classic, with Verstappen making his first appearance at NLS2 on March 21, 2026—balancing endurance prep alongside his Formula 1 season.
Fans worldwide can catch the action live on Red Bull TV and the Red Bull Motorsports YouTube channel, ensuring the drama of the Nordschleife reaches every corner of the globe.

For Verstappen Racing, this program signals ambition beyond Formula 1. It’s about endurance, resilience, and pushing boundaries. With Red Bull’s energy and Mercedes-AMG’s engineering, Verstappen’s leap into endurance racing is as bold as the livery that now carries his name.
