Through these partnerships, GrabTaxi Electric and GrabCar Electric operators gain access to a combined network of more than 600 chargers nationwide at preferential rates. This directly addresses two of the steepest barriers to EV adoption: charging availability and cost. On‑the‑ground reports already show EVs operating at 75% to 87% lower cost per kilometer compared to internal‑combustion vehicles, and the new discounted charging rates further strengthen this cost advantage.
CJ Lacsican, Grab Financial Group Philippines Country Head, emphasized the livelihood impact: “Sustainability can no longer be treated as just a green movement. For us, it has become a kabuhayan commitment. These partnerships build the support system needed for more drivers to confidently consider electrification — not only as a cleaner transport choice, but as a livelihood resilience strategy amid the volatile fuel market.”
ACMobility Partnership
Grab’s tie‑up with ACMobility integrates ChargeFleet, a digital fleet management platform that streamlines disbursement, tracking, and management of EV charging credits. This makes shift changes between drivers more efficient and maximizes uptime. ChargeFleet is linked to the Evro app, which maps ACMobility’s nationwide network of over 500 charge points located in fuel stations, malls, hotels, retail shops, and residential buildings. The app also displays all Department of Energy‑accredited charge points, helping drivers plan charging sessions with ease.
Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility, noted: “Our mission is to support Grab’s transition to EVs by streamlining fleet management. This solution makes EV taxi operations more efficient while reducing costs, building an ecosystem that supports cleaner mobility and the livelihood of drivers who keep our cities moving.”
EVOxCharge Partnership
Meanwhile, EVOxCharge operates a growing network of over 130 charge points, anchored by its flagship hub at the TDG InHub in Taguig, and complemented by destination charging at SM and S&R locations. Its xCharge+ platform provides integrated fleet solutions that simplify daily operations and driver management.
Derrick Tolentino, Vice President and General Manager of EVOxCharge, said: “Our track record in powering high‑demand commercial fleets has given us first‑hand insight into what it takes to keep professional drivers moving. By working with Grab, we are bringing that specialized expertise directly to taxi and ride‑hailing partners whose daily operations stand to gain the most from lower energy costs.”
How Drivers Can Avail
GrabTaxi Electric and GrabCar Electric operators and driver‑partners can register for preferential charging rates by submitting the email address linked to their Evro or xCharge+ account, allowing Grab to whitelist them under the program.
Supporting the Green Transition
These agreements form part of Grab’s broader EcoDrive program, which aims to make fleet electrification commercially viable by addressing adoption barriers such as vehicle access, financing, operating costs, and charging availability. The partnerships also align with the Philippines’ Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA), which seeks to accelerate EV adoption and build out supporting infrastructure nationwide.

Grab Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to continue working with charging operators, vehicle makers, financial institutions, and public‑sector partners to strengthen the ecosystem for an inclusive and accessible green transition in transport.
