The morning of July 9, 2026 was alive with the sound of engines. From Batangas, riders of every kind, Harleys, sportbikes, scooters, café racers, and big adventure machines; gathered for the Motorclyde Anniversary Breakfast Ride. Their destination: Hilton at Newport City, a symbolic stop to mark five years of Motorclyde’s journey.

It wasn’t just about the ride. It was about celebrating a story that began in 2017 as Coach Clyde is a certified Harley-Davidson coach, officially accredited by the Saudi Automotive and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) by H.R.H. Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Al Faisal (President) when Harley-Davidson owners sought proper training and became certified coaches. That small group laid the foundation for Motorclyde’s philosophy: “We Practice What We Teach”.
As the stars aligned in 2018, Coach Clyde and Coach Erwin began to conceptualize what would later become Motorclyde. What started as late-night talks among Harley owners soon grew into a vision; a school where riders could be trained properly, safely, and confidently. From those early ideas came the foundation of a riding culture that would, in just five years, touch thousands of lives across the Philippines.
By 2020, the Motorclyde Training Center started construction in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Under the guidance of Coach Erwin, the school opened in 2021, and by 2022, Clyde himself returned home to the Philippines to expand the mission. The pandemic years, instead of slowing them down, became their strength. More riders wanted to be trained properly, safely, and confidently. No matter what brand or engine size their motorcycle carried.
Today, Motorclyde has trained over 3,000 riders, built partnerships with LGUs, private companies, and the Tourism Promotions Board, and expanded into gear and lifestyle through Executive Motostuff.
Coach Erwin reflected:
“We started with Harley owners who wanted to be certified coaches, and from there we realized how powerful proper training could be. The pandemic showed us that riders wanted to learn; not just to ride, but to ride safely and confidently. Through prayers, planning, and teamwork, Motorclyde became more than a school; it became a community. We’ve worked with bike clubs, mayors, congressmen, service men, and motovloggers. All united by the same goal.

Our next step is expansion: more trainers, more modules, and programs that help riders give back to their communities. Riding is freedom, but it’s also responsibility — and that’s what Motorclyde stands for.”
Coach Clyde’s Anniversary Message
“When we started Motorclyde back in 2018, it was just a hobby, a few Harley owners learning together, becoming certified coaches, and sharing the joy of riding. But what grew from those nights was something bigger than we ever imagined. The pandemic showed us that riders wanted more than just speed; they wanted safety, confidence, and community.
Five years later, Motorclyde has trained thousands of riders, touched lives across the Philippines, and built partnerships that go beyond motorcycles. We’ve proven that riding is not about the brand or the engine size — it’s about discipline, respect, and brotherhood.
As we celebrate this milestone, my vision is clear: more branches, more trainers, and more riders who carry the Motorclyde spirit wherever they go. Riding is freedom, but it’s also responsibility. And together, we’ll keep building a culture where every rider learns, earns, and lives the ride the right way.”
Coach Tanie added:
“Tourism is the next chapter for Motorclyde. With the support of the Tourism Promotions Board, we’re helping riders explore the Philippines responsibly while promoting each city’s beauty. Every ride tells a story, and every rider becomes an ambassador of safety and adventure.
We want Motorclyde to reach more places, train more riders, and inspire more people to ride with purpose. The Philippines is a paradise for riders and we want everyone to experience it the right way.”
Raymon Gabriel of Breakfast Ride Community shared:
“We’ve been riding with Motorclyde since 2021, and every year the group grows bigger and better. They’ve built a community that values safety, brotherhood, and fun. I hope to see more Motorclyde branches across the country so more riders can experience what they stand for.
Congratulations on five years — you’ve made riding culture in the Philippines stronger and more united.”
Cesar Villanueva, Motorcycle Tourism and TPB, remarked:
“Motorclyde has become a cornerstone of safe riding and tourism. They’re approachable, professional, and deeply respected by riders. This year, we’re partnering more closely to professionalize motovlogging and highlight the beauty of exploring the Philippines responsibly.
With Motorclyde leading the way, we can show that riding is not just about speed — it’s about discovering the heart of every city. Every kilometer becomes a story, and every rider becomes part of the country’s tourism growth.”
IFMR’s Alex, looking ahead to the Batangas Rally, said:
“No school has been more dedicated to safety and professionalism. The data from Motorclyde graduates speaks volumes; they ride smarter, safer, and with purpose.
The upcoming Batangas Rally on July 18 will be another testament to how far this community has come.”
The Celebration Ahead
The ride was only the beginning. On July 11, 2026, the Motorclyde Compound in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas will host the official 5th Year Anniversary Celebration. From 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, riders can expect a morning filled with raffles, helmet vouchers, food, and the Runway Outfit showcase under the theme “It’s Time to Shine.”
Five years of growth, grit, and gratitude — and the road ahead promises even greater success. More branches, more trainers, and more riders ready to learn, earn, and ride right.
Motorclyde isn’t just teaching people to ride. It’s teaching them to live the ride; safely, proudly, and together.
