MDPPA inducts 2021 BOD and Committee Heads

The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA), an association of motorcycle manufactureres in the Philippines, inducts its new set of officers for 2021 on March 29, 2021. The ceremony was conducted online in the light of the rising cases of Covid-19 that dissuades holding of events face-to-face for the safety of the attendees.

Atty. Clarence V. Guinto, Acting Director of the Law Enforcement Service and concurent Regional Director of the Land Transportation Office- National Capital Regiont West, was the keynote speaker at the induction Ceremony. He also inducted into office Mr. Norminio C. Mojica of Suzuki Philippines Inc, as President; Mr. Virgilio A. Montaño of Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corp. as Vice President; Mr. Armando B. Reyes of Honda Phils., Inc. as the Treasurer and Mr. Alfredo O. Lejano of  Yamaha Motors Philippines Inc. as Auditor.

The commitee Chairmen who were aso inducted were Mr. Toni Boi Acuesta (Yamaha) for Marketing, Mr Herminio V. Lomibao (Honda) for Road Safety, Mr. Virgilio A. Montaño (Kawasaki) for Technical and Ms. Vicelyn V. Layno (MDPPA) for Government.

Mr. Lejano, the immediate past president, shared MDPPA’s major achievements for the period 2019-2020, which according to him would not have been possible without the collective efforts of all the members. The new president, Mr. Mojica, presented the directions of the association in 2021: proactive involvement and participation in policy formulation and rule-making, and international commitments; sustained and coordinated road safety promotion; heighted publicity on MDPPA; Proactive approach on Electric Vehicle industry development.

“The theme for the induction “Rising above and beyond the current challenges” is no t on ly a rallying cry but an apt description of what will ignite us to more action. It sparks our fire to continue delivering the results despite of the current challenges of the pandemic,” said Mr. Mojica

The event was graced by distinguished guests from the government and automotive industry associations, MDPPA member-company presidents, the Associatio’s past presidents, officers of the motorcycle dealers association and major motorcucle dealers, members of the motorcycle media, riding community and key officers of MDPPA member companies.
