Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Takeshi Kobayashi as its new President, effective April 2025. A seasoned global leader with over 25 years at Honda, Mr. Kobayashi steps into the role with a bold vision to drive innovation, deepen community connection, and steer the company toward an even more dynamic future.
Mr. Kobayashi brings a powerful blend of international expertise and strategic insight, honed through leadership roles in Japan and across Europe. His journey with Honda began in 1999 in the Human Resource Division and quickly evolved into key positions in Japan’s Domestic Motorcycle Sales, the Overseas Operations Office, and most recently, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., where he served as Director. Under his leadership, the Indian arm achieved the highest global sales volume among Honda’s regional units in the last fiscal year.
With this new chapter, HPI is poised to leverage Mr. Kobayashi’s deep global perspective to strengthen its ties with the Filipino riding community—a market known for its passion, resilience, and love for two-wheel mobility.
“I am honored to lead Honda Philippines and engage with one of the most vibrant motorcycle cultures in the world,” Mr. Kobayashi shared. 
“We aim to exceed 1 million in combined sales and production of ICE and electric motorcycles, while also enhancing our Power Products portfolio. Our mission is to offer products that don’t just move people—but move their dreams.”
Under Mr. Kobayashi’s leadership, HPI plans to launch an exciting range of motorcycles tailored specifically for Filipino riders, backed by innovative ATL (Above-the-Line) and BTL (Below-the-Line) campaigns, as well as strengthened Customer Service Operations.
Aligned with Honda’s global brand slogan—“The Power of Dreams: How We Move You”—Mr. Kobayashi’s leadership is expected to usher in a new era of mobility solutions that empower daily life, uplift communities, and fuel aspiration.
