It’s the end of the second day on the Sachsenring circuit, where also today the temperatures have been particularly high, with 50.4°C tarmac in FP3.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, who started the week end slightly under the weather, was able to improve his times at every session, shortening in Q1 the gap from the Top 5 of 6 tenths compared to the last free practice session of this morning. Baldassarri will start tomorrow’s race from the eighth row.
Simone Corsi, who had started the weekend with excellent results, did not find the same feeling today. The Roman rider is already projected to tomorrow, for a race all in recovery.
The appointment is set for tomorrow with the warmup at 9:10 and the 28 laps of the race at 12:20.
Lorenzo Baldassarri – Rider #7
“Surely I can’t say that I’m satisfied with this weekend’s sessions, but the positive side is that with each exit there has been a growing and and improvement. We have understood the fundamental points for us to be better also on this track, especially on entry and on run in. Tomorrow it will be important to make a good start and recover as many positions as possible”.
Simone Corsi – Rider #24
“Today’s day was complicated. This morning unfortunately I couldn’t improve my time compared to yesterday and also in the afternoon I didn’t have a good feeling. Tomorrow we will start behind, but I hope to make a good start and a good comeback in the race.”
