Corsi finishes seventh in combined, Baldassarri takes advantage of the first two rounds to work on the setup.
The first day under the hot sun of Sachsenring ends for the MV Agusta Forward Racing team, that concludes with an excellent seventh place in the combined standing obtained during the second free practice session this afternoon.
Simone Corsi, who has always been at ease on the German circuit, has once again demonstrated his affinity with this track, closing with a best time of 1:25’032. Corsi took advantage of the day to work on his race pace, completing a total of 56 laps.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, on the other side of the box, took advantage of the two free practice sessions to work on the bike setup and to take stock of the situation. In the position of chief technician is now Luca Capocchiano, who returns to the team after winning the world title in 2020. Baldassarri completed 45 total laps today.
The Varese-based racing team will be back on track tomorrow, for the last free practice session at 10:55am and qualifying in the afternoon with Q1 starting at 3:10pm.

“Today was the best day for us since the start of the season. Sachsenring is definitely a track I like where I have fun and the feeling was good. In both FP1 and FP2 we did a race simulation with the tyres. In the afternoon I improved my fast lap time, but we still have to work on the race pace because Sunday will be a long race and we don’t We don’t have to get the times up too high. I’m happy because with the team we are working well, the goal for tomorrow is to make a step and enter Q2, then we will give our best for Sunday”.
