Dalla Porta with Forward Team for Mugello, Sachsenring and Assen GP

Dalla Porta will replace Escrig for the Mugello Grand Prix and for the German and Dutch GPs as well, due to the protracted recovery of the talented young Spanish.

Due to the protracted physical condition of Alex Escrig, who injured his right shoulder during the Jerez tests last March, Forward Team, in agreement with the rider and his management and after requesting further medical examinations, has decided to continue Alex’s recovery therapies so that the young Spanish can return to the bike  100% fit for the Silverstone GP.
Replacing the Spanish rider will be Lorenzo dalla Porta, fresh off a consensual break with the previous team.
Lorenzo will be alongside Marcos Ramirez for the next three GPs; the two were already teammates in 2019, when Lorenzo won the Moto3 World Championship title.
The team is happy to welcome Lorenzo. We wish each other the best for this journey together and at the same time we wish Alex a speedy recovery and a  return to the track stronger than before.

Giovanni Cuzari: “I am sorry and very close to Alex for the situation he  and we are experiencing. We believe very much in him and that is the reason why we agree to wait for his full recovery. Obviously I am overjoyed that Lorenzo is wearing our colors for this new challenge and I believe a lot in his speed.”

Lorenzo Dalla Porta. “I am very happy with this opportunity and I thank Team Forward for welcoming me as part of the team for the next three races. I am very curious to try this new bike and I will definitely give my best. I am pumped up to start as early as Mugello!”
