The Yamaha Grand Prix roared back onto the Philippine racing calendar as Leg 1 of the revived series unfolded at Tarlac Circuit Hill, marking the comeback of one of the nation’s most important grassroots motorsports platforms.
After years away, the Grand Prix wasted no time reasserting its identity, delivering a full weekend of multi-category racing that united young prospects, club racers, and seasoned competitors under one competitive banner. From one-make battles to underbone racing and junior development categories, Leg 1 set a clear tone: the Yamaha Grand Prix is back as a complete racing ecosystem, not just a standalone event.

BLU CRU Junior Cup: Rising Stars Under Pressure
At the heart of the weekend was the R15M BLU CRU Junior Cup, where the next generation of Filipino road racers faced the demands of real competition across two races.
- Race 1: Knox Pantaleon claimed victory with a controlled, consistent ride, followed by Ronald King Mangosong in second and Albert Geronimo in third.
- Race 2: Rand Erwin Bergania delivered a strong performance to take the win, with Mangosong again in second and Pantaleon securing third.
Beyond the podium, riders including Ezra Samson, Danmar Allan Geronimo, Ace Dansharl Esguerra, Albert Joaquin Geronimo, Riyhana Villacorta, and Anderson Leslie Debnam gained valuable race experience in a professional one-make environment.
Club Racing & One-Make Battles
The weekend also showcased Yamaha’s club racing and one-make formats, delivering close competition across categories:
- Sniper YClub Race: Cristian Mirasol won Race 1, while Mark Philip Mendizabal bounced back to take Race 2. Kevin Foronda secured third in both outings.
- Aerox YClub Race: Anrich Gavin Farin dominated both races, with Rod Cervantes and Joshua Atayde (Race 1) and John Albert Halili (Race 2) completing the podiums.
- Sniper 155 One-Make Race: Rand Erwin Bergania added another win, with JM Malonzo second and Shan Espedilla third.
- Aerox SP One-Make Race: Renzzy Vigo emerged victorious, followed by JM Malonzo and Jasper Castro.
Underbone Limited GP: Closing the Weekend Strong
The finale came with the Underbone Limited GP, where Timothy Rojas claimed victory after a composed ride. Nedy Duran finished second, while Renzzy Vigo capped his strong weekend with another podium in third.
