The first is always the best and memorable experience is what they say. And it does seem that way as tuned cars took to the track at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga for Motul Philippine’s first event of the year and first track day.
Several car clubs partnered with the event like Magtroc, HP Club, Club300, ESC., True Fit Crew, Nissan Elites, Subaru Club Philippines (SCP), Tastefully Built, Honda Nation Philippines, Boxer Madness, WRXSTi Owners Club, Toyota Auto Club (TACP), Boxer Madness, FJ Club of the Philippines (FJ COP). Several of their members were present to enjoy being at the track and taking to the track.
With a huge variety of cars and builds present, track day participants were divided into a few vehicle categories in the interest of safety on track. Making sure everything goes smoothly through the day are racing personalities father/son tandem of Carlos and Iñigo Anton. Also present were Asian F3 champion, Pepon Marave, and slalom/autcross champion, Ryan Ablang, to lend their knowledge and experience to participants who were interested maximize themselves and their vehicle’s potential on track.
While drivers waited their turns on the track, or friends of drivers wanting to get a feel of what it’s like to go around CIS, three racing simulator rigs were on hand to give you a taste of running on track.
Official tire of the event is Yokohama Tires. They had several models of their sticky Advan line on display and a Mk.5 Toyota GR Supra in Yokohama Advan livery going out on track.
The day’s event official sponsors were KYT, Alpinestars, Suomy, YSS Auto, QStarz, Wheeltek, SP2, MySip, Energizer and DMR
The event was a whole day of fun for gearheads and spectators alike. Registered participants were given special tokens of appreciation by Motul’s Phillippine distributor, Infiniteserv International. With successful events like these, the first will definitely not be the last.
