Green SM has officially launched its all‑electric ride‑hailing service in Kazakhstan, marking its first presence in Central Asia and sixth international market. The expansion reinforces the company’s long‑term global growth strategy, which already includes operations in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.

The launch ceremony in Almaty gathered government officials, Vietnamese diplomats, and industry partners across transport, energy, and technology. In its initial phase, Green SM will operate a fleet of VinFast VF6 Eco SUVs, offering residents and visitors quiet, comfortable, and sustainable urban mobility.

To celebrate, Green SM is offering riders 26% off (up to KZT 2,626) when booking through the Green SM app, available on both the App Store and Google Play.

Green SM leaders, together with representatives of the Almaty city government, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Kazakhstan, and distinguished guests, press the button to officially launch Green SM’s electric taxi service in Kazakhstan.

Beyond vehicles, the company continues to invest in its Green Drivers, providing training in operations, safety, and customer service to ensure consistent standards. It also launched the Green Alliance Frontier initiative, partnering with organizations in transport, tourism, and technology to promote sustainable development.

“Kazakhstan is a market with strong potential and rising expectations for modern services. We come with respect, long‑term commitment, and a desire to work alongside local partners in building high‑quality mobility solutions,” said Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Global CEO of GSM.

In its initial phase, Green SM is operating in Almaty with a fleet of VinFast VF 6 Eco vehicles, an all-electric SUV model well suited to everyday urban mobility needs.

For Filipino readers, this expansion is notable because Green SM already operates in the Philippines, where electric ride‑hailing is helping commuters experience quieter, cleaner, and more reliable trips. The Kazakhstan launch shows how the same model of sustainable mobility is being exported globally — proof that the Philippines is part of a pioneering ecosystem shaping the future of transport.
