Intense day of work for Team MV Agusta Forward in Argentina GP quali

Due to the delay in the delivery of the Teams’ crates from Indonesia, the Grand Prix weekend has undergone major changes in the shifts and schedules, seeing the Friday day cancelled. The race weekend therefore began today, with a fast pace. Saturday saw the riders of all classes take to the track for three rounds: FP1, FP2 and qualifying. Both riders of the Team MV Agusta Forward took advantage of the first round to regain confidence with the track, very dirty and with lack of grip.

In the second free practice session Simone Corsi continued his work in search of the best grip. After a very hard fought qualifying, on the edge of tenths of a second, he improved his best time of the day recording a time of 1.44.431. He will start tomorrow’s race from the seventh row of the grid.

Alongside him Marcos Ramirez worked to find the best feeling with the bike during the two free practice sessions and came within a few tenths of gaining direct access to Q2. The compulsory passage from Q1, influenced by the strong wind on the track especially in the second sector, assigned him the start from the eighth row tomorrow at the turning off of the lights of the Argentina GP.

Different times than usual for the Warm Up at 14.50 Italian time tomorrow, extended to 20 minutes, to precede the start of the race that will see the rders on track from 18.20 Italian time.

SIMONE CORSI #24

“The weekend started in a bit of a complicated way. Today we tried some solutions in view of qualifying, in the afternoon I improved my time compared to FP1, but unfortunately this did not allow us to enter in Q2. We are struggling a lot with rear grip and the track conditions are not helping either. Now we will work to improve this aspect in view of tomorrow to have a good race and finish in the points zone”.

MARCOS RAMIREZ #42

“I’m a little disappointed with how we ended qualifying today. We have a lot of potential and I can’t seem to show it and stay in front. In any case I hope to do so soon. Despite not being able to improve this afternoon compared to this morning I am confident ahead of tomorrow”.
