The ride wasn’t just a test—it was a full-on experience of premium comfort, cutting-edge tech, and road-ready performance.
Starting at the Honda Safety Driving Center in Parañaque, the convoy made its way to Café Cecilia in Tanay, Rizal, traversing a mix of urban streets, winding hills, and countryside roads. The route was carefully chosen to showcase where the PCX160 truly shines out on the open road.
Power Meets Precision
Riders were quick to praise the PCX160’s smooth acceleration and responsive handling, powered by its 157cc, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC, liquid-cooled ESP+ engine. With 11.8 kW of power at 8,500 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, the scooter delivered confident performance across varied terrain. Its fuel efficiency of 46 km/L made it a reliable companion for the long haul, while the spacious foot area added to the comfort.
The RoadSync variant impressed with its advanced safety features, including Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for enhanced stability. Riders also appreciated the twin shock rear suspension with subtanks, which provided excellent damping even on rough patches. Meanwhile, the Standard variant offered solid stopping power with its Combi Brake System and front/rear disc brakes.

Paired with a smartphone, the Honda RoadSync system enabled turn-by-turn navigation, music, calls, and messages—all hands-free via the multi-function switch and voice human-machine interface (HMI). The 5-inch TFT meter panel provided crisp, easy-to-read data, day or night, and the passing light switch added an extra layer of safety when overtaking.
