There is a BYD for you as their slogan goes. But the day was focused on the BYD Atto 2 and the BYD Seal 5 DM-i.
THE ATTO 2
BYD Cars Philippines has officially launched the all-new BYD Atto 2, marking the newest expansion of the brand’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup in the country. The all-new BYD Atto 2 introduces a highly accessible, and practical SUV built to lower the traditional barriers to electrified mobility and encourage more Filipinos to make the switch.
“Our newest model, the BYD Atto 2 is proof that shifting to electric vehicles is a practical reality for the everyday Filipino driver,” says Bob Palanca, Managing Director, BYD Cars Philippines “Whether you want to go full electric, or extend your range with a plug-in hybrid model built on BYD’s Super DM-i technology, the BYD Atto 2 makes the switch to go electric easy, whichever you choose.”
The Atto 2 offers flexibility to match any travelling needs, featuring two distinct powertrain options: a full battery electric vehicle (BEV) or BYD’s renowned Super DM-i plug-in hybrid system. The latter is available in Premium and Dynamic variants, ensuring every driver can find a powertrain that suits their needs.
The EV variant delivers up to 380 km of pure electric range. While the DM-i Dynamic and Premium variants offer an electric-only range of up to 45 km and a combined range of 1,340 km based on an efficiency run by BYD Cars Philippines in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).
At the very core of every Atto 2 variant is the BYD Blade Battery, recognized for its exceptional durability, thermal stability, and long-term reliability, ensuring consistent performance across the EV and DM-i lineup.
All three variants are built with safety in mind and share the same smart-first SUV DNA. The Atto 2 DM-i Premium features a comprehensive suite of comfort and convenience features, being the only variant equipped with DiPilot ADAS. Across the lineup, convenience is key, with the EV variant featuring a 12.8-inch intuitive touchscreen, while the DM-i models are equipped with a 10.1-inch display; both systems offer smartphone connectivity to keep drivers connected on the go.
To cap off this suite of lifestyle-forward technology is Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability available on the Atto 2 EV. This allows drivers to plug in and power external electronics, appliances, and equipment directly from the vehicle, turning the Atto 2 into a mobile power bank for road trips, outdoor activities or emergency situations.
The Atto 2 lineup also caters to the modern Filipino lifestyle with a highly competitive total cost of ownership, backed by a convenient once-a-year maintenance schedule that keeps upkeep simple and predictable.
