There was once a time where the brands Mitsubishi and Subaru were bitter rivals on the rally racing scene. Duking it out on the dirt, gravel and tarmac stages of the World Rally Championship (WRC). With their Lancer Evolution and Impreza WRX steeds vying for to honors in every rally stage.
Nowadays, with the withdrawal of both companies from the WRC battleground, their legacy continues on the production cars they released to celebrate their time on the dirt. With the desire for the rally generations of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions and Subaru Impreza WRXs at a constant high, Philippine owners of these cars naturally would seek out fellow owners and form clubs dedicated to their rides. Hence the Evolution Club Philippines and the WRX STi Club Philippines were formed.
After several years of club meets and runs between their respective clubs, a cross meet between the two clubs was initiated. A “Rivals Cross Meet” as the event was coined. Held at the hottest motoring-themed cafe, Karerra Showroom, in Alabang, Muntinlupa. Members of both clubs (and more) converged on the location for an afternoon of automotive bliss.

When it comes to the Ultimate Rivalry as they say, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Subaru WRX STi takes the cake. It all started during the 90s till the late 200s this pair of Japanese rivals at each other’s throat for almost their entire existence in the market. Both models have been famous because of their competitiveness during the 90s World Rally Championship famously known as WRC to the enthusiasts.
On November 26, 2023 at the Karerra Showroom the 2 WRC Legends with many variations and style were present. Filling up almost all the space available for parking and enthusiasts of all generations attended the sunny event. People flock to the indoor display of a Subaru WRX STi and the Generation of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and chatted away while drinking coffee even having a go on the sim racing inside the showroom.
As the enthusiasts talked to each other and sharing their knowledge of their vehicle whether it be the never ending problems of having a project car/s or even the small wins of making the car run better than before.
KW and ST Suspensions products were on display to the community and raffled off exclusive vouchers. The Rivals Cross Meet of WRX STi Club Philippines and Evolution Club Philippines was an epic clash of power and passion.
