Anchored by the BYD Tech Tour at SM Seaside City Cebu (April 25–27, 2025) and the launch of 16 new ACMobility EV charging stations, the initiative marks a major leap forward in making sustainable driving a practical reality for millions across the region.
These coordinated efforts underscore a shared mission: to make electric mobility accessible, future-ready, and deeply rooted in communities across the Philippines.

BYD in Cebu: A Growing Ecosystem for Clean Mobility
With the Visayas quickly becoming a key market for EV adoption, BYD has cemented its presence through BYD Cebu North, launched in 2024 by Global Star Motors. This full-service dealership was quickly followed by satellite locations at Ayala Center Cebu and IL Corso, offering easier access to BYD’s world-class electric vehicles.
To meet surging demand, three more dealerships are on the way: Cebu Central, Cebu Toledo, and Cebu South—all part of BYD’s national strategy to bring premium, sustainable mobility closer to Filipino families.

ACMobility: Building the Backbone of the EV Revolution
As BYD fuels the demand for electric vehicles, ACMobility is laying down the infrastructure to match. Through its Charge Forward initiative and the Philippine EV Spine program, ACMobility aims to activate over 35 charging sites across the Visayas by the end of 2025.
New charging points already live include key urban hubs like Ayala Center Cebu, IL Corso, and even remote destinations like Bantayan and Camotes Islands, ensuring seamless coverage for both everyday commutes and weekend getaways.

In partnership with Ayala Malls, Global Star, Prince Stores, City Time Square, Club Filipino Cebu, and others, ACMobility ensures charging access extends even into historically underserved areas.
To support 24/7 availability, ACMobility has rolled out a paid model via the Evro app, with competitive rates (₱33.5 for AC, ₱38 for DC) and subscription plans starting at ₱1,200/month. For flexible users, the Charge500 prepaid option offers similar discounts without a monthly commitment—making EV ownership not just greener, but smarter and more cost-effective.
