The doors of the World Trade Center Metro Manila opened today to mark the beginning of Philippine Manufacturing Week 2026, and the energy inside was unmistakable. For the first time, two powerhouse events; the Auto Parts and Vehicles Expo (APV Expo) and the Philippine Die and Mould Machinery and Equipment Exhibition (PDMEX), came together under one roof, setting the tone for three days of innovation, collaboration, and industry pride.
Organized by Informa Markets Philippines, this co-located showcase immediately felt like more than just an exhibition. It was a gathering of minds and machines, a place where local enterprises stood side by side with global exhibitors, and where conversations about the future of Philippine manufacturing began to take shape.

On opening day, Ms. Rungphech Chitanuwat, Country General Manager of Informa Markets Philippines, highlighted the significance of this alliance. “By bringing together the automotive aftermarket and die and mould industries, we’re creating powerful synergies that showcase the interconnected nature of modern manufacturing,” she said.

Day 1 also underscored the role of government support. Mr. Ferdinand Jesus Ortega, Chairperson of the Cooperative Development Authority, spoke about programs designed to empower transport cooperatives and MSMEs. His remarks resonated with many attendees, especially smaller enterprises eager to thrive alongside large-scale manufacturers.
Conference Kickoff
The conference program opened with sessions that immediately drew strong interest. Discussions on EV technology and infrastructure, MSME loan programs, and automotive aftermarket opportunities set the stage for deeper conversations over the next two days.
Meanwhile, PDMEX sessions on die and mould industry trends and robotics integration showcased the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of manufacturing.
A Global Stage Opens
With exhibitors from China, Taiwan, and Thailand joining Filipino innovators, the international presence was felt strongly on Day 1. The Philippines is positioning itself as a hub for automotive components and aftermarket services in Southeast Asia, and the turnout of over 8,000 expected industry professionals is proof of the growing momentum.
