Reaffirming its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and inclusive nation-building, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has donated ₱300,000 to support mangrove rehabilitation efforts in Alaminos, Pangasinan. The donation was made to the City Government of Alaminos through its Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), strengthening a nearly two-decade partnership that began in 2005 when IPC first adopted a coastal area in the region.

Mangroves play a critical role in protecting coastal communities from erosion and storm surges, while also enhancing marine biodiversity and capturing carbon—making them a frontline defense in the fight against climate change. IPC’s donation will directly fund mangrove planting and restoration programs that bolster both ecological resilience and local livelihoods.
“At IPC, sustainability goes hand in hand with service,” said Yasuhiko Oyama, IPC Executive Vice President. “This initiative reflects our belief that progress isn’t just measured by what we build, but also by what we help restore. We are proud to support Alaminos in rebuilding natural ecosystems that protect and uplift communities.”

Supporting Education at the Frontlines
Beyond its environmental advocacy, IPC also extended support to Longos Elementary School, a public school serving one of Alaminos’ most economically challenged and geographically isolated coastal communities. IPC donated essential school supplies—including backpacks, notebooks, and writing materials—for 140 students, as well as two printers with ink refills to help teachers produce learning and administrative materials.

The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on local families while enhancing access to quality education as the new academic year begins.
“We are deeply grateful to Isuzu Philippines Corporation for being a consistent and committed partner to our city since 2005,” said Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste of Alaminos. “This latest support will go a long way—not just in restoring our mangroves, but in equipping our students with the tools they need to succeed.”
Partnering for Sustainable Progress
These dual CSR initiatives reflect IPC’s core value of “Responsibility to Society and Country”, and align closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly those focused on climate action (SDG 13), quality education (SDG 4), and life below water (SDG 14).
By investing in both environmental restoration and educational upliftment, Isuzu Philippines continues to live out its brand promise: Your Responsible Partner.
