Kia Accelerates Ahead: Strong H1 Sales Mark 71% Growth in PH Market

Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, is on a roll—posting a remarkable 71% sales growth in the first half of 2025 and claiming the title of fastest-growing brand among the country’s top 10 automotive players. According to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), Kia sold 4,195 units from January to June 2025, up from 2,452 units in the same period last year.

“Kia has long established itself as a key player in the Philippine automotive scene. This latest milestone proves that we continue to earn the trust of Filipino drivers,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “With a growing network, a forward-thinking product lineup, and a strong commitment to electrification, we’re driving a future that’s smart, reliable, and exciting.”

Sonet Leads the Charge

At the heart of Kia’s success is the Sonet, the brand’s top-selling model with 3,171 units sold—a testament to its appeal as a practical, fuel-efficient, and youthful subcompact SUV. Celebrating its first year in the Philippines last June, the Sonet has quickly built a strong community of fans, with over 60 owners joining its anniversary convoy.

Meanwhile, demand for Kia’s hybrid and fully electric lineup continues to rise. The Sorento Hybrid posted triple-digit growth, while other standout electrified models like the Carnival Hybrid, EV6, and EV9 show the brand’s growing relevance in the sustainability space.

The Kia Movement: Purpose-Driven Progress

This success is part of The Kia Movement, a bold brand initiative that champions progressive, sustainable, and customer-focused mobility. More than just offering stylish cars, Kia is reshaping what it means to move — with innovation and purpose at every turn.

“Our momentum shows how more Filipinos are choosing Kia for both design and dependability,” Lopez added. “We’re connecting with a new generation of drivers who want innovation but also value everyday practicality.”

ACMobility: Powering Growth from Behind the Scenes

Kia’s rise is powered by its strong partnership with ACMobility, the Ayala Group’s mobility arm. By aligning on EV infrastructure, brand-building, and digital transformation, the collaboration has allowed Kia to rapidly scale its presence and bring its vehicles closer to more Filipinos.

Looking Ahead: Electrification and Deeper Connections

Kia’s first-half performance cements its position as a serious contender in both the conventional and electrified vehicle segments. The brand’s focus on community engagement, customer experience, and sustainable innovation continues to drive growth and trust.

As it heads into the second half of 2025, Kia remains committed to expanding its lineup, accelerating electrification, and meeting the evolving needs of the modern Filipino driver.
