EEMI Fleet Management Inc. (EEMI), in partnership with Assemblepoint Inc., has officially signed an agreement to deploy electric bus (e-bus) shuttle services at Light Industry & Science Park I (LISP I) in Cabuyao, Laguna. The project, operating under a leasing model, is designed to support the daily transportation needs of employees across the expansive industrial estate.

The five-year contract was awarded by the ICCP Group, which oversees operations and services for more than 90 locator companies within LISP I. Under this agreement, EEMI will serve as the official fleet operator, deploying a fleet of modern, environmentally friendly electric buses aimed at reducing carbon emissions while ensuring reliable and efficient mobility for industrial workers.

Bringing its proven expertise in sustainable fleet management, EEMI will oversee the operation of the e-bus services using the latest in electric vehicle (EV) technology. Assemblepoint Inc. will provide technical and operational support, leveraging its experience in EV integration and leasing solutions to ensure the project’s success.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing sustainable transportation within industrial zones,” said Edmund Araga, President of EEMI Fleet Management Inc.

“By integrating electric mobility into LISP I’s transport ecosystem, we are not only improving employee commuting experiences but also contributing meaningfully to the country’s broader decarbonization goals.”

The e-bus leasing initiative aligns with national efforts to promote green mobility and serves as a model for public-private collaboration in the transportation sector. With over 90 companies expected to benefit from the shuttle system, the project sets a precedent for similar eco-conscious transit solutions across industrial parks in the Philippines.

Deployment of the electric buses is scheduled to begin in the coming months, with routes and schedules optimized to meet the workforce demands of LISP I’s diverse tenant base.
