Two decades ago, WORLDBEX Services International (WSI) launched the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), a groundbreaking event that would go on to become a hallmark of the Philippine automotive industry. The idea for MIAS first took shape in 2005 when motoring journalists Jason K. Ang, Ulysses K. Ang, and Alvin Uy approached WSI’s founding chairman, Mr. Joseph Ang, with a vision: to create an international grade auto show that would celebrate the local automotive industry’s drive for excellence and innovation. Mr. Joseph Ang, seeing the potential in this concept, eagerly seized the opportunity and brought his extensive event management experience to the table. His dedication led to the successful launch of the first-ever Manila Motor Show in April 2005—a milestone not only for the industry but also a personal tribute to his late father, a car dealer deeply involved in the automotive world.

Since its inception, MIAS has grown exponentially in stature, drawing global recognition from top-tier automotive brands.
