Suzuki Philippines Champions Marine Conservation with Pawikan Release in Bataan

Suzuki Philippines has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship through a meaningful Pawikan (sea turtle) release at the Pawikan Conservation Center. The activity brought together company leaders and team members in support of marine wildlife protection and sustainability.

Leading the initiative were Mr. Norihide Takei, Director and General Manager of the Automobile Division, Mr. Ira Valte, National Sales Manager, and Mr. Jeff Lopez, Brand Communications Group Head, alongside members of Suzuki’s Marketing and Brand Communications teams. Together, they released rescued Pawikan hatchlings into the sea — a symbolic gesture underscoring the importance of collective action in protecting nature.

This activity builds on Suzuki’s earlier partnership with the conservation center, where the company donated a Suzuki Jimny to support coastal monitoring efforts. The hatchlings released came from nests adopted by Suzuki, with conservation efforts yielding impressive results: from 100 nests, 9,468 eggs were secured and 8,713 successfully hatched, proof of the impact of sustained conservation and community collaboration.

As the sun set over the West Philippine Sea, Suzuki team members carefully released the baby turtles along the shoreline, a powerful reminder of shared responsibility for future generations.

The initiative reflects Suzuki’s brand philosophy, “By Your Side,” which extends beyond mobility solutions to supporting communities and protecting the environment. Through its partnership with the Pawikan Conservation Center, Suzuki continues to play an active role in marine conservation and environmental awareness.
