Tesla Marks One Year in the Philippines as Best-Selling EV, Tops DOE Efficiency Ratings

Tesla celebrates its first anniversary in the Philippines with a landmark achievement: market leadership, unmatched efficiency, and a fast-growing community of electric vehicle (EV) owners.

In less than a year since deliveries began, Tesla has surged to the top of the EV market, capturing 54% market share with over 2,200 units delivered as of November 2025, according to CAMPI data. From day one, Tesla has consistently ranked as the country’s best-selling EV brand — a clear signal of strong and sustained consumer demand.

Setting New Standards in Efficiency

Tesla reinforced its leadership at the Department of Energy (DOE) Fuel Economy Run 2025, held along the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX).

  • Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive: Achieved an outstanding 92.31 km/lge, topping all participating vehicles.
  • Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive: Delivered 84.63 km/lge, ranking highest not only among EVs but also outperforming PHEVs and ICE vehicles.

Despite the downpour, the vehicle’s clean lines and aerodynamic stance remain striking, framed by a cluster of spectators under black umbrellas capturing the moment. The scene reflects both the competitive spirit and public excitement surrounding the event, with Tesla’s presence symbolizing the shift toward high-efficiency, zero-emission mobility.

These results highlight Tesla’s ability to combine real-world efficiency with exhilarating performance.
