Suzuki is known to be a strong advocate of Road Safety; in fact, Suzuki Philippines has already set a global record-breaking event to underscore this commitment. To date it is the Guinness World Records holder for the Largest road safety lesson (set in 2017). Suzuki Safety Riding Authority (SSRA)’s expertise is backed by training from its home office in Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) Japan and mixing it with the principles gathered from its partnership with the Land Transportation Office (LTO). With the very fast paced and growing market of riders in the Philippines, Lifestyle On Wheels and Iskrambol Marketing partnered up together to spread proper riding to the public together with Suzuki Philippines. The Suzuki Safety Riding Authority spent 2 days training at the Philippine Coast Guard joined by MotoVloggers, friends from the media, sailors from Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and students from Philippine Port Authority (PPA).

First order of business was to let attendees have a seminar on which how to properly ride a motorcycle. Posture and balance whether it be doing the riding all alone or with a pillion rider. Drills were done on which the speaker and Suzuki’s top trainer talked about balance and force a motorcycle can be or do in the real world.

After the seminar of teaching traffic signs, road courtesy, and familiarization to the scooter that was in display during the lecture was  Suzuki’ new and muscular scooter, the Avenis. Scooters are what getting people around easily due to fact that it can be basically done with just anybody BUT without the proper teaching leads to a very dangerous riding with others in the real world. SSRA is committed to promote Road Safety through educating new and existing riders as well as the public about proper, safe and responsible motorcycle riding.

An Array of different kinds of Suzuki motorcycles were available to ride on, which participants were able to learn control and be one with the motorcycle whether it be AT or  MT.

Day 1 was introduction to everything there is to know on road safety, road signages that can be found within Philippine Roads, proper exercise before riding to prevent body pain and muscle aches after. Familiarize with different types of transmission that can be found in the market.

Day 2 is the continuation of proper ways to ride and practicing defensive riding which can happen in real life.

Riders in the Philippines is a very fast growing market in the transportation industry due to  the fact that it is the fastest, cheap way, to get to the destination. This is why Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines has a program to promote safety riding that can help riders and others on the road that we all share going to our destination.
