Bitter end of the #SanMarinoGP for Team MV Agusta Forward Racing

The MV Agusta Forward Racing team disputed today the 14th round of the 2021 season at the Marco Simoncelli Circuit in Misano. The uncertain weather, which characterized the entire weekend, gave no respite even during the race.

Simone Corsi, just back from a good weekend in Aragon, which was crowned with a tenth position, started his comeback race, up to 15th position. At the second lap, however, a contact from another rider on the track made him fall. Simone went to the medical center for some tests and x-rays, from which it emerged a slight dislocation of the little finger of the right hand. The Roman rider is well and is ready to leave for America in good shape and with a great desire for revenge.

The team is now preparing the flight cases for the imminent departure to Austin, Texas, where the 15th event of the season will be held on October 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Lorenzo Baldassarri – Rider #7

“I am disappointed about how the race went. Unfortunately, in these weather conditions it is always difficult to find the right felling. In the race I wasn’t able to push as hard as I would have liked and make a comeback. Now we analyze the data and turn the page, thinking about the next race, in Texas”.

Simone Corsi – Rider #24

“Today was a real shame. We had a good start and I recover up a lot of positions on the first lap but unfortunately at Turn 4 another rider crashed me out. We know these things can happen in a race but it was a shame because we could have finished in the points. I hit my hand but I hope to be back on top in America”.
