Difficult Donnington Park Race for Kevin Tse following 1st-lap Incident at British GT Championship

Despite qualifying on the front row, Kevin Tse (HKG) and Maximilian Goetz (GER) faced a challenging weekend at Round 8 of the British GT Championship at Donnington Park. The Contempo Concept-sponsored #18 Mercedes-AMG GT3 ultimately finished in P12. Notwithstanding an undoubtedly challenging weekend, Tse and Goetz look forward to the season finale, set to take place on the 29th of September in Brands Hatch.

The duo enjoyed a successful start to the weekend, clocking in the second-fastest average time in qualifying on Saturday. Following a promising start to the race, a first-lap incident sent Tse spinning, setting them back significantly. Eventually, he clawed his way back to the tail of the GT3 pack, however, the gap was too significant to overcome. Goetz took over and managed to climb to P12, which is where the German driver crossed the finish line.

The duo has had some excellent performances this year, having claimed 2 victories in Tse’s first season in the Pro-Am category. Despite the setback, Tse and Goetz remain optimistic about the season finale at Brands Hatch on September 29th. They aim to finish the season on a high note and aim for a victory.
