Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Unveils New Management and Bike Livery at 2025 Launch

Yamaha Motor Racing (YMR) and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team kicked off a new era at the 2025 Yamaha MotoGP Launch Event in Kuala Lumpur, greeted with excitement by fans, media, and the motorsports industry.

Held at the W Hotel’s Wet Deck with the iconic Twin Towers in the background, the event featured the unveiling of Yamaha’s 2025 bike livery, showcasing the ‘Blue Shift’ theme. Paolo Pavesio, the new Team Principal, introduced the updated management structure, succeeding Lin Jarvis, who served as Managing Director and Team Principal since 1999. Jarvis remains a Senior Advisor. Maio Meregalli, Team Director since 2011, completes the leadership team.

Pavesio shared Yamaha’s mid-term plan for 2025 and beyond, focusing on ‘joint leadership’ between Yamaha Motor Company and Yamaha Motor Racing. Meregalli emphasized the collaboration with Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, which will enhance bike development through shared data and team synergy.

Riders Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins revealed their 2025 YZR-M1 bikes, featuring a new blue-focused livery with updated sponsor placements. The team’s updated look extends to the garage design and team wear, supplied by Macron.

Quartararo, 2021 World Champion, is fully focused on the upcoming season, having trained intensively over the winter. Rins, now recovered from his 2024 injury, aims to push his YZR-M1 to the limit in 2025. The team also welcomed new crew chiefs, Diego Gubellini for Quartararo and David Muñoz for Rins.

With continued support from Monster Energy, the iconic sponsor’s branding is prominently featured across the team’s logo, uniforms, and bikes. The new livery blends Yamaha’s traditional colors with Monster Energy’s adventurous aesthetic.

Both riders expressed high motivation for the upcoming MotoGP tests and the start of the season. With 22 GP rounds and 44 races expected, the 2025 season promises to be a thrilling one for Yamaha and its partners.
