Uncertain weather conditions from the morning onwards characterised a day on the track that gave, in any case, good ideas for next week’s races, again at the Red Bull Ring.
Sunday started with a heavy downpour at the Styria GP: wet conditions for the morning Warm Up where MV Agusta Forward Racing riders Baldassarri and Corsi were very comfortable on their F2 bikes, placing just over a tenth from the Top 10, in 12th and 16th respectively.
Doubtful weather and threatening clouds also characterised the following hours, leaving uncertainty about track conditions for the race, which turned out to be dry.

Lorenzo Baldassarri made a good start, recovering several positions. In the first laps the fight with the opponents made him lose contact with the points zone and this did not allow him to increase his recovery and he finished the race in 21st position.

Simone Corsi, instead, was protagonist of a crash at the first lap in turn 3, due to a contact with an other rider. The Italian was able to restart and finish the race in 25th position, collecting useful data for the continuous process of analysis and development carried out by the technicians of the Team.

Now the team will try to take advantage of the next few days to prepare the next round in the best possible way and they will start again on the 13th August at the Red Bull Ring circuit for the Austrian Grand Prix, the eleventh round of the season.
Lorenzo Baldassarri – Rider #7
Today’s race was a bit special. It wasn’t easy at the beginning, but then I was able to recover several positions. It has been a weekend where we have tried a lot of solutions and today we found a set-up that I feel good in. It will be important to work again this week on the front end and on the speed ahead of next weekend here in Austria. I would like to thank all the guys for their work and I will see you next week.

Simone Corsi – Rider #24
“The race ended for me almost immediately because I made contact with another rider in turn three. I restarted and I preferred to finish the race anyway to acquire as much data as possible, because next week we will race again at this track, where we hope to make a further step”.
