The country’s longest running automotive trade show which is slated for May has been pushed back to a later date.
The organizer, Tradeshow International, Inc. (TSI), states the 4-day event was rescheduled to a later date due to the resurgence of COVID cases once again in the country. Holding such a public event is deemed risky and unsafe for both exhibitors and visitors alike. The current rise in cases has hit closer home with more and more friends and family becoming infected. Rescheduling was the responsible option
TSI president, Sophie Delos Santos had these words to say with regards to the decision to reschedule:
“Inspite of the growing uncertainties that this pandemic has brought upon the events industry, we need to keep hoping and planning for a better tomorrow for these car shows that we miss. Once again we are pushing for a later and safer date this year for all 3 shows . Our TransSportShow originally scheduled this May will have to be co-located with Manila Auto Salon and Sport Truck Show in November 11-14, 2021– seriously hoping that the situation gets better.”
The entire events industry has been gravely affected by the ongoing pandemic. It has affected several businesses in and around the events industry. From delays, rescheduling and to outright cancellation of events left and right. Our responsible part in this is to stay within the safe havens of our homes, to stem the spread of COVID. The sooner we beat this, the sooner we get to admire beautiful cars in events like TransSportShow.
