The Monterosato circuit, celebrating 50 years of motocross heritage, hosted the third round of the Italian Pro Prestige Championship under perfect spring conditions. The hard‑pack track, shaped by steep climbs and descents, delivered drama and resilience across both MX2 and MX1 classes.

Simone Mancini impressed with grit and determination. After qualifying fourth in his group, he carved through the field in race one to finish second. Race two brought early heartbreak when a crash dropped him to 40th, but Mancini mounted a remarkable comeback to 10th, securing third overall. “It was a great weekend, with good pace in both heats; it’s a shame about the crash at the start of race two, but I rebounded, giving it everything I had. After that disastrous start, I never expected to finish on the podium, but instead we did it, and I’m happy for the whole team,” he said.
Teammate Ferruccio Zanchi endured a mixed outing. After topping his group in qualifying, a poor start and crash left him 18th in race one. He bounced back in race two, climbing to second by lap four and finishing runner‑up, which placed him sixth overall. “It was a mixed Sunday; I set a good time in qualifying, although I struggled to find the right feeling with the track. In race two, however, I got a better start and managed to finish second after a few overtakes. Now we’re focusing on the next three consecutive world championship races,” Zanchi reflected.
MX1
Alessandro Lupino showed resilience just two weeks after a heavy crash in Maggiora. Despite arriving in Fermo less than fully fit, he qualified fourth and fought hard in race one, climbing to third after contact forced him back early. In race two, a poor start left him outside the top ten, but he recovered to fifth, earning fourth overall — tied on points with third. Lupino now sits third in the championship, just 10 points off second. “Given my physical condition, I was unsure whether to race or not. However, the first race went very well; I gritted my teeth and secured third place. Unfortunately, in race two I got a bad start and couldn’t get higher than fifth. It’s a shame I missed the podium, but I’m happy I tried and achieved a good result that repays us for all the efforts we’ve made recovering from the Maggiora crash,” he said.
