SEAOIL Partnership Saves ₱2.6M in Fuel Costs for Grab and MOVE IT Riders

Rising fuel prices have been hitting drivers and riders hard, but SEAOIL’s partnership with Grab and MOVE IT has already delivered real relief: ₱2.6 million in fuel savings from March to April 2026.

Through the PriceLOCQ app, GrabCar drivers, motorcycle taxi riders, and delivery partners were able to lock in lower fuel prices and enjoy discounts of up to ₱8.73 per liter. For many, that meant more money left in their pockets at the end of each day — money that goes straight to family needs instead of the gas pump.

This initiative is part of the Grab Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program, which has mobilized ₱350 million in rebates, incentives, and bonuses to cushion the impact of volatile fuel costs. SEAOIL’s Kabalikat Mo sa Hanapbuhay campaign ties into this effort, ensuring that transport and delivery professionals — the backbone of daily mobility — can keep moving without the constant worry of unpredictable fuel prices.

SEAOIL President for Retail Business Mark Yu explained: “By giving drivers and riders the tools to lock in fuel prices and access discounts, we’re helping them secure their livelihood. These professionals keep our economy moving, and we want to make sure they can keep moving forward.”

GrabCar Philippines GM Gines Barot added: “Every peso saved on fuel is a peso that goes back to a driver’s family. This milestone proves that when companies work together, we can provide a real safety net for transport professionals.”

MOVE IT GM Wayne Jacinto emphasized the rider‑first approach: “Malasakit means turning care into action. By reducing fuel expenses, we protect riders’ daily earnings and sustain the essential mobility services they provide to commuters.”

The PriceLOCQ app offers two practical tools:

  • Top‑Up Liter Balance — lets drivers buy fuel at today’s price and use it later.
  • LOCQPay — a scan‑to‑pay feature that applies instant discounts at the station.

With strong adoption of these digital solutions, SEAOIL and Grab plan to expand the partnership further, including exclusive “Super Sale” events to deliver even deeper savings for hardworking drivers and riders.
