The Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA) has announced stable truck sales for 2025, underscoring the resilience of the Philippine commercial vehicle industry amid shifting economic conditions.
According to consolidated data from TMA and the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), total sales reached:
- 6,783 units for Category III trucks
- 3,690 units for Category IV trucks and buses
- 888 units for Category V heavy-duty trucks
These figures highlight sustained demand from logistics, construction, manufacturing, and public services — sectors that continue to rely on trucks as the backbone of trade and mobility nationwide.
Compared with 2024, overall sales held steady, reflecting normalized demand and inventory conditions while remaining supported by ongoing infrastructure projects and consistent economic activity.
Building on this momentum, TMA expressed confidence in stronger growth for 2026, citing infrastructure expansion, rising logistics demand, and fleet modernization as key drivers.
“Having achieved our industry truck sales targets in 2025, we are confident about the positive outlook for 2026. With sustained infrastructure development and vibrant economic activity, our member companies are well-prepared to meet the growing demand for reliable, efficient, and innovative commercial vehicles,” said Robert Carlos, TMA President.
For 2026, Vicente Mills Jr. of Hino Motors Philippines Corporation continues as Chairman Emeritus, while Robert Carlos of Isuzu Philippines Corporation assumes the presidency. The association reaffirmed its focus on industry growth, road safety, and sustainable transport solutions.
TMA also pledged stronger participation in government initiatives, particularly those centered on road safety, environmental protection, and local truck manufacturing. Member companies are integrating advanced safety features and greener technologies, while supporting local body builders and parts suppliers to strengthen the automotive value chain and generate sustainable employment.
With stable 2025 sales and a clear roadmap for 2026, TMA remains optimistic about the industry’s role in driving economic growth. Its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety ensures that the Philippine truck sector will continue to deliver dependable transport solutions for businesses nationwide.
