MG Philippines recently rolled out the red carpet for its banking partners with the MG Hybrid Experience Drive, an exclusive event that spotlighted the brand’s latest hybrid innovations: the All-New MG ZS Hybrid+ and the New MG3 Hybrid+, both equipped with MG Pilot, the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system.
The event brought together 40 senior officers from some of the country’s most trusted financial institutions, including BDO, Bank of China, BPI, China Bank Savings, China Banking Corporation, EastWest Bank, Maybank, PNB, PSBank, Philtrust Bank, RCBC, Security Bank, and Sterling Bank of Asia.

The day began at MG Greenhills, where guests were welcomed with breakfast and a tech briefing on MG’s hybrid systems and safety features. By 9:30 a.m., the convoy hit the road—cruising through EDSA, Skyway, SLEX, and CALAX before ascending the scenic roads of Tagaytay. The route offered a mix of urban traffic, highway stretches, and mountain climbs, giving participants a real-world feel of how MG hybrids perform across diverse Filipino driving conditions.

Upon arrival at Sinta Restaurant, a sanctuary-themed venue overlooking Taal Lake and Volcano, guests were immersed in a space adorned with works by nine National Artists. The setting provided a serene and artful backdrop for the day’s festivities.
Culinary excellence was delivered by Chef Ariel Manuel, a multi-awarded international chef who curated an MG-exclusive welcome drink and a four-course meal. Each dish was personally introduced by Chef Ariel, adding a thoughtful and memorable touch to the experience.
Fuel Economy Challenge: Real Results, Real Savings
A highlight of the event was the Fuel Economy Challenge, where bank teams competed to achieve the best mileage. Leading the pack was Security Bank, whose team recorded an impressive 25.6 km/L in the MG ZS Hybrid+. BPI followed closely with 23.8 km/L, and EastWest Bank achieved 20.8 km/L in the MG3 Hybrid+. These results underscored the real-world efficiency of MG’s hybrid lineup, proving that eco-friendly mobility can also mean significant savings at the pump.

Guests also experienced MG Pilot, the brand’s intelligent driver-assistance suite featuring Lane Departure Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Speed Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Traffic Jam Assist.
